If you are inspired by Apple’s FaceTime Application and looking further to use similar kind of app on your device, then we have a good news for you. Tango, a well known multi-platform audio/video chat application which is already available for mobile devices like Android, iPad,iPhone and iPod Touch is now available as a desktop client for Windows OS.
Tango desktop client allows users to make video and audio calls from their desktop. The interface of it is pretty much similar to that of iOS UI and provides an easy way to switch from iOS UI to standard UI. As far as connectivity is concerned, it provides quick options to do it by just entering the country code and mobile number, if you are already subscribed to Tango and if you are not, then you have to enter phone number, first and last name and email id to go online.
There is also an option for inviting friends or colleagues; to invite your friends or colleagues the user need to enter either the email address or phone number. The Tango desktop client also provides options to configure skins, sort & display order, Audio&Video display, run on startup and sound on/off settings.
When you minimize the app, it will run in the system tray from where you can bring it back or close the application. As, the desktop version is in development stage you may experience some bugs or errors and these will be fixed in the next Tango desktop client update.
