No. iOS 4.2 GM is the official 4.2 firmware, iOS 4.2.1 never had a GM, it went straight to iTunes.
guys having trouble jailbreaking my ipod its a ipod touch 2G on 4.2.1 latest update on itunes and i cant find anything to help me jailbreak SOME ONE HELP PLEASE :D:D:D:D:D:D
use firmware umbrella to downgrade, the 2G is a tethered JB i think
If your iPod has a model No. that starts with “MC”, then the IPSW for Jailbreak has not been released yet. You have to monitor its release from a couple of weeks from now or so.

why do these restore files come in seperate files, before it was 1 big file
i dont know how to handle these files, can someone plzzz help me
dont unzip it go t computer tools then view tab theres a box thats says hide unkown files or sumthn like that uncheck it then hit apply ok and then go to ur zip file right click then rename leave the name the sme but take of the .zip and replace it with .ipsw and i turns in to the firmware
