NOTE: Connect the iPad and computer to a common wireless network before you begin.

1. Jailbreak your iPad. If you have already done it, then proceed.

2. Open Cydia.

3. In the search bar, search OpenSSH.

4. Select it from the search result and install it.

5. Reboot the iPad.

6. Download and install WinSCP on Windows.

7. Start WinSCP.

8. Enter the following details.

• Protocol : SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)

• Server : Enter iPad IP address. Find iPad IP Address.

• Username: root

• Password: alpine

9. Click on Login.

10. If a warning is shown, click yes and proceed.

Now you have successfully SSH into iPad on Windows.

1. Firefox Addons

If you are a Firefox user, you could use the FlashBlock extension to improve your browsing experience and speed up you BSNL Broadband connection. Get FlashBlock extension from here. You could also make addons like FastFox and Adblock Plus to fasten Firefox.

2. Use TCP Optimizer

TCP Optimizer is a free tool to tweak your TCP/IP parameters and increase your broadband bandwidth.

3. Tweak system.ini file (Windows XP and 512 MB+ recommended)

1.Run MSINFO32.EXE from the Run command.

2. Navigate to System Summary > Hardware Resources > IRQs.

3. Find what is listed in your NIC and note down the IRQ.

4. Run SYSEDIT.EXE from the Run command.

5. Expand the system.ini file window.

6. Find ” 386enh ” which is located almost at the end.

7. Make a blank line by pressin Enter key and type Irqnumber=4096 (Replace ” number ” with the IRQ number we found earlier.

8. Save the file and restart your system.

5. Tweak using Local Group Policy Editor

1. Type ” gpedit.msc ” in Run and press enter.

2. Navigate to ” Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > QoS Packet Scheduler > Limit Reservable Bandwidth “.

3. Tick the ” Enabled ” box.

4. Change bandwidth limit to 0% and apply the changes and restart your system.

6. Tweak DNS Servers

1. Navigate to Control Panel > Networking and Sharing Center.

2. Click on the ” Local Area Connection ” link.

3. In the window that opens, click on ” Properties “.

4. Now under the networking tab double click on the TCP/IP option to edit it.

5. Check ” Use the following DNS server addresses “.

6. Enter ” 208.67.222.222 ” in the first box and ” 208.67.220.220 ” in the second one and save the settings.

That’s all! Now your BSNL Broadband Connection will be super fast.

Windows 7 and Vista provides its users with an option called ” GodMod ” with which you could have easy access to the features and options in Windows. You should surely try this secret option. It could turn out to be very helpful. For enabling GodMode in Windows 7 and Windows Vista, follow the steps given below.

NOTE: GodMode works perfectly in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and in 32-bit versions of Windows Vista. If you try this in Vista’s 64-bit versions, a system crash may occur.

1. Create a new folder in the desktop.

2. Rename it as ” {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} “.

All knows what the icons of familiar programs or system options indicate. For example, even without the text under the icons of Firefox, My Computer, Recycle Bin, certain games etc, we could know what they are. So those who don’t want the text under the icons of familiar programs could hide/erase it. It is quite simple. Just follow the steps given below to do that.

1. Click once on the icon and then on its text to rename it or you could right-click on it and select ” Rename “.

2. Make sure ” Num Lock ” is on.

3. Hold Alt key and enter the value ” 255 ” from the keypad.

It is easier to connect your mobile phone and PC/laptop with Bluetooth since it is a wireless connection. In this post, I am introducing an easy method to synchronize your Windows Mobilewith your PC/laptop using Bluetooth.If your system lack Bluetooth facility, you could use a dongle. Now follow the steps given below to sync your Windows Mobile device with your PC/laptop using bluetooth.

1. Make sure that the driver along with the dongle is installed.

2. Check whether the Bluetooth dongle is properly plugged in your PC/laptop.

3. Make sure that all the drivers are properly installed. For doing it, right-click ” My Computer “, select ” Properties “, under the ” Hardware ” tab, click ” Device Manager ” and scroll down and check whether the device has been installed or not.

4. If the device is installed and is not detected, right-click the entry and select ” Uninstall ” to uninstall it. Remove the device and connect it again and reinstall the drivers.

5. After making sure that everything is OK i.e. the device is installed correctly, go to ” Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Bluetooth Devices “,  under the ” Options ” tab, check the ” Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer ” checkbox and click ” OK “.

6. Start ” Windows Mobile Device Center “.

7. Click on ” Mobile Device Settings “.

8. Click on ” Connection Settings “.

9. Make sure that ” Allow connections to one of the following ” checkbox is ticked.

10. Make sure that ” Bluetooth ” is selected from the dropdown list and click ” OK “.

11. Open ” ActiveSync “.

12. From the menu, select ” Connect via Bluetooth “.

13. If a prompt appears which asks you if you want to set up a partnership, click ” Yes “.

14. Based on the Windows Mobile Device you are using, you could make two choices. Click ” New Partnership ” if it is a Windows Mobile Pocket PC Edition. If it is a Windows Mobile Smartphone, select ” New ” from ” Menu “.

15. When needed, enter the name of your laptop/PC.

16. If in the shared devices, the name of your PC/laptop is not displayed, then check whether the devices are connected correctly and are in range.

17. Click ” Next “.

18. After entering the passkey, again click ” Next “. Don’t forget the passkey

19. Click the pop-up that appears on your taskbar telling ” A Bluetooth device is attempting to connect with your computer “.

20. Type the same passkey that you entered earlier in the ” Add Bluetooth Device Wizard ” and click ” Next “.

21. Now, you could make two choices based on the Windows Mobile device you are using. If you are using Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition, check whether the ” ActiveSync ” checkbox is ticked in the list of services. If you are using a Windows Mobile Smartphone, click ” Next ” in the ” Display Name ” window, check whether the ” ActiveSync ” checkbox is ticked in the list of services and click ” OK ” and ” Done “.

22. Now click ” Finish ” in the Wizard.

23. Open ” ActiveSync ” in your Windows Mobile device and select ” Connect via Bluetooth ” from ” Menu ” to connect your mobile phone with your PC/laptop through Bluetooth.

3.  Run iTunes.

4. Take a full backup of you iPhone.

5. In Mac, the PwnageTool makes a Custom IPSW file which cannot be made in Windows. So, you have to download it. The following are the files.

6. Move the IPSW file to the following locations

“C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Update\” in Windows XP

“C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\” in Windows Vista

“C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\” in Windows 7

7. Restart iTunes.

8. Now do not update your iPhone to 3.1.2 firmware with iTunes.

9. Select iPhone from the devices list in left side.

10. Hold the left Shift button and click on ” Restore “.

11. Browse and choose the custom IPSW file you downloaded and click on ” Open “.

That’s all! You have jailbroken your iPhone!

Last month, the Dev-Team released the PwnageTool 3.1 to jailbreak iPhone 2G and 3G 3.1 firmware. But it works only on Mac OS X and not in Windows. So here is a guide to Jailbreak iPhone 2G/3G 3.1 Firmware in Windows.

1. Since you’re using an iPhone, you might have iTunes. But if you don’t have , then download iTunes 9 and install it.

2. Now download the custom iPhone 2G/3G 3.1 firmware parts with the links given below.

10. Now the installation process starts.

You could boot Windows in safe mode by using the F8 key during startup. But if you are repairing or troubleshooting Windows, it might require several restarts and that too in Safe Mode. So always using the F8 key while booting for starting in Safe Mode could be quite annoying. So for your convenience, you could always boot Windows in Safe Mode using the boot options.

1. Type ‘ msconfig ‘ in ‘ Run ‘ or in search box and press Enter.

2. In the ‘ System Configuration ‘ window, select the ‘ Boot ‘ tab.

3. Under the ‘ Boot options ‘ section, tick the ‘ Safe boot ‘ checkbox.

4. Click on ‘ Apply ‘.

For switching off automatic safe boot, just untick the ‘ Safe boot ‘ checkbox.

When you visit a website, its DNS data is stored in the DNS cache by Windows so that the next time you visit the site, it loads faster. Two types of entries, Positive and Negative entries are being stored in the DNS cache. If you could access a website, then positive entries are stored in the cache. But if negative entries are stored in the DNS cache, sometimes you cannot get access to the site because of a DNS error. You could overcome this problem very easily by clearing the DNS cache. To clear the DNS cache in Windows, just follow the simple steps given below.

1. Go to ‘ Start -> Accessories -> Command Prompt ‘.

2. Right-click ‘Command prompt’ and select ‘ Run as Administrator ‘.

3. Along with the text given there, type ‘ ipconfig/flushdns ‘ and hit Enter.
