Windows 7 and Vista provides its users with an option called ” GodMod ” with which you could have easy access to the features and options in Windows. How to Hide/Erase Icon Text in Windows

All knows what the icons of familiar programs or system options indicate. For example, even without the text under the icons of Firefox, My Computer, Recycle Bin, certain games etc, we could know what they are. So those who don’t want the text under the icons of familiar programs could hide/erase it. It is quite simple. Just follow the steps given below to do that.
1. Click once on the icon and then on its text to rename it or you could right-click on it and select ” Rename “.
2. Make sure ” Num Lock ” is on.
3. Hold Alt key and enter the value ” 255 ” from the keypad.
That’s all. Now the text will be erased and only the icon will be displayed. Now if you want to name it again, just do step 1 and name it.

How to Synchronize Windows Mobile with Laptop/PC Using Bluetooth

It is easier to connect your mobile phone and PC/laptop with Bluetooth since it is a wireless connection. In this post, I am introducing an easy method to synchronize your Windows Mobilewith your PC/laptop using Bluetooth.If your system lack Bluetooth facility, you could use a dongle. Now follow the steps given below to sync your Windows Mobile device with your PC/laptop using bluetooth.
1. Make sure that the driver along with the dongle is installed.
2. Check whether the Bluetooth dongle is properly plugged in your PC/laptop.
3. Make sure that all the drivers are properly installed. For doing it, right-click ” My Computer “, select ” Properties “, under the ” Hardware ” tab, click ” Device Manager ” and scroll down and check whether the device has been installed or not.
4. If the device is installed and is not detected, right-click the entry and select ” Uninstall ” to uninstall it. Remove the device and connect it again and reinstall the drivers.
5. After making sure that everything is OK i.e. the device is installed correctly, go to ” Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Bluetooth Devices “,  under the ” Options ” tab, check the ” Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer ” checkbox and click ” OK “.
6. Start ” Windows Mobile Device Center “.
7. Click on ” Mobile Device Settings “.
8. Click on ” Connection Settings “.
9. Make sure that ” Allow connections to one of the following ” checkbox is ticked.
10. Make sure that ” Bluetooth ” is selected from the dropdown list and click ” OK “.
11. Open ” ActiveSync “.
12. From the menu, select ” Connect via Bluetooth “.
13. If a prompt appears which asks you if you want to set up a partnership, click ” Yes “.
14. Based on the Windows Mobile Device you are using, you could make two choices. Click ” New Partnership ” if it is a Windows Mobile Pocket PC Edition. If it is a Windows Mobile Smartphone, select ” New ” from ” Menu “.
15. When needed, enter the name of your laptop/PC.
16. If in the shared devices, the name of your PC/laptop is not displayed, then check whether the devices are connected correctly and are in range.
17. Click ” Next “.
18. After entering the passkey, again click ” Next “. Don’t forget the passkey
19. Click the pop-up that appears on your taskbar telling ” A Bluetooth device is attempting to connect with your computer “.
20. Type the same passkey that you entered earlier in the ” Add Bluetooth Device Wizard ” and click ” Next “.
21. Now, you could make two choices based on the Windows Mobile device you are using. If you are using Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition, check whether the ” ActiveSync ” checkbox is ticked in the list of services. If you are using a Windows Mobile Smartphone, click ” Next ” in the ” Display Name ” window, check whether the ” ActiveSync ” checkbox is ticked in the list of services and click ” OK ” and ” Done “.
22. Now click ” Finish ” in the Wizard.
23. Open ” ActiveSync ” in your Windows Mobile device and select ” Connect via Bluetooth ” from ” Menu ” to connect your mobile phone with your PC/laptop through Bluetooth.

Jailbreak iPhone 2G/3G/3GS 3.1.2 Firmware in Windows

How to Jailbreak iPhone 2G/3G 3.1 Firmware in Windows

Last month, the Dev-Team released the PwnageTool 3.1 to jailbreak iPhone 2G and 3G 3.1 firmware. But it works only on Mac OS X and not in Windows. So here is a guide to Jailbreak iPhone 2G/3G 3.1 Firmware in Windows.
1. Since you’re using an iPhone, you might have iTunes. But if you don’t have , then download iTunes 9 and install it.
2. Now download the custom iPhone 2G/3G 3.1 firmware parts with the links given below.
Custom 3.1 firmware Part 1 for iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G
Custom 3.1 firmware Part 2 for iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G
Custom 3.1 firmware Part 3 for iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G
3. Now unite all the parts separately for iPhone 2G and 3G using HJSplit.
5. Uncompress the two archives.
6. Open iTunes 9.
7. With the help of data cable, connect your iPhone to the PC.
8. From the Devices menu on the left, select your iPhone.
9. Hold Shift and click on ‘ Restore ‘ and select the custom IPSW file from the uncompressed archives (If it is iPhone 2G, then select its IPSW file and if it is 3G, then select its corresponding file).
10. Now the installation process starts.
That’s all! Your iPhone 2G/3G will now be jailbroken in Windows.

Download VLC 1.0.2 for Windows, Mac and Ubuntu

Two months ago, VLC released its 1.0.1 version. Now its updated version 1.0.2 is available for download. This version gives 64-bit support to Mac OS X and also supports to create playlists in WPL and ZPL formats. Most videos and audios can be played with VLC 1.0.2.
