Today Apple have released the iOS 4.1 beta 2 for iPhone and iPod Touches. But this iOS 4.1 beta 2 can be accessed only by the developers. Only member in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can download it.

The iOS 4.1 beta 2 comes up with a new baseband and so if your iPhone is unlocked now, and still you want the unlock, then it is safe not to update your iPhone to iOS 4.1 beta 2 till an unlock tool is released for it.

iTunes 9.2.1 Released and Download Available

The newer version iTunes, 9.2.1 for both Windows and Mac OS X have been released by Apple. It comes up with some bug fixes and improved stability of iTunes. The improvements in the iTunes 9.2.1 update are the folllowing.

• Addresses minor issues with dragging and dropping items
• Addresses a performance issue when first syncing to some devices with iTunes 9.2
• Addresses an issue upgrading to iOS 4 on an iPhone or iPod touch with encrypted back-ups
• Addresses other issues that improve stability and performance

Apple have released the iOS 4.0.1 firmware for iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4. It is coming up with many improved features and fixes. They have released this iOS 4.0.1 firmware also for fixing a main problem which plagued the iPhone 4 – the Antenna Reception issue.

Now you could download the iOS 4.0.1 for your iPhone and then manually install it using iTunes or you could automatically do it via iTunes 9.2.

Today Apple have released the iOS 4.1 Beta version for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G and iPod Touch. The iOS 4.1 full version will be released for the public soon as this beta version is available only for the developers. The newer version of the iOS 4.1 beta will be arriving soon to fix many bugs.

Apple iPhone 4 Jailbreak by Geohot

So many rumors were and are spinning around on the internet regarding the iPhone 4 jailbreak and few days ago, the iOS 4 was jailbroken in iPhone 3G, 3GS and iPod Touch 2G and 3G devices using various jailbreak tools like redsn0w, sn0wbreeze, PwnageTool etc.

Now Geohot has been able to jailbreak the iPhone 4 soon after he got it by mail. According to his blog post, he has managed to jailbreak the iPhone 4 but he hasn’t mentioned the release date for the new jailbreaking tool. He has also mentioned about Limera1n and Pwned4life. He also released a screenshot of the iPhone 4 running Cydia.

As far as a release goes, it probably won’t happen from me. limera1n is little more than a raindrop on a website; it was never mentioned by me previous to this post. pwned4life is a complete invention of some blogger in a basement somewhere. When I said pwned for life, I was referring to the original iPhone, 3G, and Touch; which of course are, by the aptly named PwnageTool.

Again, please don’t ask for release dates. Every person that does makes me want to release a little bit less.

iTunes Accounts hacked – Be Careful!

Yesterday it has been reported that many app store users’s accounts are being hacked by someone and is used to buy apps from the store using their iTunes account and money. The ‘ iTunes accounts hacked ‘ problem is turning out to produce just problems for the users along with many suspects.

Can’t tell there are ‘ many ‘ suspects at the moment as everyone tends to turn their attention to a Vietnamese app developer named ‘ Thuat Nguyen ‘. Out of the top 50 apps in the Books category in the app store, 40 are the ones created by this man. But it could happen if he is so skilled to produce such popular apps. But the suspicious thing is that most of his apps have very poor user ratings or no ratings at all! So there is a chance that the developer himself or with external help have hacked the iTunes accounts.

The hacking of the iTunes accounts is turning out to be a big problem and so it is better to take precautions if you have an iTunes account. Preventing is better than curing. So check your purchases history, change your iTunes account password now and remove your payment details and stop payments to be done using your iTunes account.

The iPhone 4 was revealed yesterday by Apple at the WWDC event held at San Fransisco. The new Operating system for the iPhone, the iOS 4 was also announced by Steve Jobs and team along with the new generation iPhone. The new firmware is up with over a 100 new features including multitasking, one of the most awaited feature to work on the iPhone.
