Wow the foreign prices are high for no contract phones. In the USA it costs slightly less http://osxdaily.com/2010/07/08/iphone-4-price-without-contract/ – but you are still glued to AT&T as the carrier so it is not a true commitment free phone.
Thats expensive dude. I got mine from www.fruitgear.net, had to wait 3 weeks for it though… But hell… I aint takin anything with AT&T.

What’s the deal with iPhone 4 no contract sale?
I called Apple Store a dozen times in past 2 months to check if they sell the iPhone without contract and if they have it in stock. Every time they told me that I can buy it, but it is out of stock. OK.
Finally the day when they had it in stock came, and I went on a 2 hour drive to the nearest Apple store.
